Who I Work With

I work with adults whose communication goals are shaped by both real-world demands and personal priorities. Clients often seek support for communication in professional contexts as well as in everyday social interactions and relationships.

This includes:

  • Professionals in fields such as aviation, law, healthcare, engineering, technology, academia, and the skilled trades

  • Educators, graduate and post-secondary students, and adults navigating academic or training environments

  • Parents and caregivers seeking more confident communication in social, family, or community settings

  • Adults who want to improve social communication, conversational confidence, or participation in everyday interactions

Therapy is tailored to the communication demands of each context, with strategies designed to transfer directly into how clients communicate day to day.

Special Programs

LSVT® Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease

LSVT LOUD® is an effective speech treatment for people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and other neurological conditions.

Today, LSVT LOUD is considered the global “gold standard” for speech treatment for people with PD. Extensive research on LSVT LOUD has documented that people with PD show improvements in loudness and more variation in pitch while speaking that are maintained for at least two years post-treatment. Secondary improvements may include better articulation, changes in swallowing, improved facial expressions while talking and even speech-related brain changes.

Watch a webinar online to learn more.

The standard LSVT LOUD treatment program spans four weeks of individual clinical sessions (four times per week) plus daily homework and carryover exercises. Once that initial treatment is over, you'll continue to practice at least once a day for 10–15 minutes.

Parkinson’s Disease SPEAK OUT!®

Voice Therapy

90% of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease are likely to develop speech disorders.

SPEAK OUT!® is an evidence based program that teaches individuals with Parkinson’s how to convert speech from an automatic function to an intentional act. Speaking with INTENT uses a system that is less dependent on dopamine. Watch an information session online or view a general brochure here.

  • 9-12 therapy sessions (three days per week)

  • Daily home practice routine

  • Exercise 2x daily using SPEAK OUT!

Accent Modification

We all have an accent. Sometimes we want to change the way we speak. I can help you modify your speech using some key features of the Canadian English accent. Accent on Canadian English™ Pronunciation Program for Speakers of English as a Second Language is utilized to assess your speech and set personalized goals.
